    TOEFL FAQs

How many hours should I study for TOEFL?

Preparation time depends on your current proficiency and target score. On average, it may take 4–12 weeks. Princeton Review Singapore provides flexible courses designed to fit your schedule and goals.

What’s the minimum score for US/UK universities?
Most US programs require at least 80 for a minimum TOEFL iBT score, while a select few will request 100+. In the UK, a vast majority of programs will require at least a 90 iBT, while elite programs like Oxford or Cambridge will request between 100 and 110, at a minimum.
    Is TOEFL accepted worldwide?
Yes – the TOEFL is accepted by universities and institutions in many places in the world. More than 12,000 universities and institutions in over 160 countries across the globe (including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe) use TOEFL scores to determine admissions, scholarships, and visa qualification.
Which is better: TOEFL or IELTS?

    It depends on your strengths:

    • If you would rather speak and have a conversational style, IELTS is probably a better fit for you.
    • If you prefer academic vocabulary and would rather take a computer-based exam, TOEFL may be a better option for you.
    • Make sure to check the requirements of the institutions or countries that you are applying. Princeton Review Singapore has each of these tests available to you, so you can consult with us and do a diagnostic test on link to help see which fits you best.
