GRE Exam Structure & Key updates

Cost: The registration fee is $220, with additional costs for score reports and rescheduling.
The GRE is a Computer adaptive test. All questions except essay-writing are in Multiple Choice format.
It is administered at various test centers throughout the year
Reduced Duration: The total test time has been cut from approximately 4 hours to 1 hour and 58 minutes.
Fewer Questions: The number of questions has decreased from 100 to 54 across all sections.
Section Structure: The Analytical Writing section now consists of only one task (“Analyze an Issue”), while the Verbal and Quantitative sections each contain 27 questions divided into two sections.
Score Reporting: Test scores will now be available within 8-10 days, faster than the previous 10-15 days.
No Unscored Section: The unscored section has been removed, and test-takers can skip questions and change answers within sections.
